For the Imperium...

Here is my reinterpretation of the other Warbird:

Definitely an improvement over what we've seen. They really should hire you to do the Romulan designs, Atolm (hell, ALL of them, for that matter!), although I don't know if their CG department is up to the challenge of making these 3D meshes.

C'mon, my ships are not that hard to build :)

Another great one.
Really something that you can create quite a lot of designs for very different races and styles and they all have their distinctive style and you always maintain such a high quality.

Thank you bro.

Beautiful work as always, Atolm!

Thanks

This next one was inspired by a great friend's quick doodle

Very interesting in how you've layered various parts of the "wings" and hull and the way they "wrap" around the nacelles and (weapon?)pods, also, looking at all the windows I assume this isn't something you can just park anywhere either, big ship this one. :mallory::techman:

Thanks! And Yer Right!

So this one is my attempt at making some sense of the Warbirds from Picard. After some research I got some views and decided to opt something ..."thicker".
Here is my version for "commodore" Oh's Warbird:

I like it, it looks like those could be a load of shuttle bays, but they look like grills. This would definitely work if they want to go hard on the bird look, which they basically did with the wings in PIC. I miss the fairly simple rounded blunt bow though, though I have no idea if it would work on your version. I think it needs some obvious weapons and thrusters but I see things which could be weapons.

I prefer the nacelles you added, but I just assume the Romulan wings in PIC are the warp engines. It's like the Klingon Bird of Prey and how I assume its wings are the warp nacelles, like those primitve ships the Enterprise-D faces in one episode which had sail like structures. Maybe a bit like the Cardassians too which integrate the warp engines into the saucer rim.

I like this a lot more than the ship we got, and I like that bow a lot. The wing and nacelle combo make more sens to me on this one too, and the obvious Valdore lineage is nice.

Will you be doing the Snake Head next?

Thanks. On the Nedar, I had to make lineage decisions, and one of those decisions was the "head". My version is very blunt, like a tiger shark when looking at it from above, but from the side I evoked a bit of the Valdore into her. Another decision was what to do about the wings... All the wings on these ships are supre thin. Paper thin. Too thin. So I gave the ship much more practical shape and volume. They did not appear to have any warp quality to them... I could be wrong. I do know that I had integrated warp nacelles into Romulan ships many many times before, and they seem to make more sense to me, than what I've seen of these ships. I did state I might explore a more experimental borg infused warbird that may help the matter more. But nothing that I've seen or read has said anything about this romulan ship using wings as warps. And unfortunately that means: Pretty look, functional mess. But again without any actual info, things are what they are...up to our own interpretation, and canon.
As for the the second one, the T'Lar...again, I was just trying to fit the shape in somehow. The ship in the show was paper airplane-like. The ships look good like a flock of seagulls soaring in some shots and even evoking the hitchcockian "Birds" feel, but ultimately they looked frail and almost commedic to me.
Glad you liked both designs though. I will not be tackling the smaller craft as I really don't care about them. But I will say this about the snake head: just flip the front to the back and you have a much more Bird like shape.
