For Mr. Okuda and Sternbach

We had a saying back at the studio - "It's a show, it's a show, it's a show..." and that usually kept us sane.

Well put.

LOL... just got a mental image of one of the staff rocking back and forth in a chair, hugging himself, with wild eyes, repeating "It's just a show" over and over, hehe. :)

That in turn reminds me of something from Rick's E-D Blueprint set. The included booklet has a roundtable interview with various production and FX people from TNG, among them Dan Curry.
Because we worked with the physical model so closely for seven years, we became very familiar with its parts, what it is, what it looks like, what it does, and I think that we all had a childlike romance with the ship. I think in those who didn't, there was a coldness about it. I know with the motion control guys, even watching people carry the model, there was a reverence about it that exceeded its value as a model, because it was the Enterprise.

I picture six guys in monk's robes chanting as they carry the model around the soundstage.

Sermon: "And Scotty beamed them to the Klingon ship, where they'd be no Tribble at all."

Crowd: "All power to the engines."

I can't agree more. Some people only post in protected forums because they have had their art stolen.

It's even better than you guys think...

Once you log on and get inside, there are 48 WIP images scattered among 23 pages of BBS posts...

I'm sorry, but if you think that's lame that's kind of ironic: at this forum the better projects have a lot of pages and require you to browse them for a lot of WIP images as well...

Lame?

I don't think I said lame...

More like it's worth jumping through a few hoops to check out...

I miss this style of ship.. not so much the class, but the "feel" of it. Just looking at this ship reminds me of early TNG.
