For miltary or ex-How common are HOT women in the military?

well anyone in the military is going to be in good shape, so unless they have a really ugly face, I assume there are a few fairly good looking women in the military, plus the uniform is always fun.

Ummmm.... that's not really true.

A minimum standard has to be met of course, but some army desk clerk or someone else in a relatively sedentary position is not required to be in the same condition as an infantryman. There aren't any really FAT people in the military, but there are plenty of relatively chubby people.

I'd say the ratio of "good looking" to "bad looking" people in the military wouldn't be much different in or outside of the service, but I'd guess the average military person would have a better body, by virtue of eliminating all of the severely overweight people.
US Army vet here. I concur, also because of free mandatory dental care her teeth are better then the general populations.

On the other hand the uniform is designed to hide the human figure. Those with the best bodies still only look like a female basketball player and not a supermodel on their best day.

My observations, working on a Marine Corps Base the last six years:

The 'hot' women typically work in CIS (computers), Public Affairs, or end up being the general's secretary. I kid you not! The general's secretary - you look at her, and say to yourself 'you should be a model!'

I knew an army grunt who was good looking (and a smokin body). She's actually back in Iraq right now. She told me some funny stories about all the sex that goes on.

Well, let's be honest -- when you're the public representation for a company, it's best to look the most presentable. For example, it doesn't look good if the front desk clerks at a gym are all obese.

When I go to Bethesda Naval Hospital, I'm always stunned by how incredibly overweight many of the personnel are. And that was even before it was impossible to get kicked out of the military.

As far as ratios, I'd say that the Navy had 1 cuttie in every 20 females. They often times ended up pregnant... actually probably 15 of the said 20 females ended up pregnant.

FYI, in the civilian world 'women' hate being referred to as 'females'. The term is not exclusive to humans and places women on a par with larvae, cats, dogs, etc.

:wtf:

Humans, as animals, are either female or male - and linguistically on a level at times with other animals (he, she, his, her, etc. are also words applicable to non-human animals commonly used in reference to humans). Human females are females, as I am a male, as Hanabi-Ko (KoKo) is female, as Cheetah/Jiggs (a chimpanzee who co-starred in the Tarzan films) was a male. To refer to them as such is neither demeaning nor debasing, but merely accurate.

(As it happens, none of my female friends have ever expressed an issue with reference to humans as males and females. I've had conversations with many of them in which they've used those terms themselves.)

Edit: (Oh, and proportionally few of them are military, though my mother and several close female friends are.)

In my experience in the Navy, most of the girls were... ummm... substandard.

On the USS Nimitz between 1995 and 1999, the hottest girls worked in the Air Wing, and the single hottest girl on the ship was in the lone USMC squadron in our Air Wing.

Just for context, these "hot girls" I am mentioning would be considered "average" by civilian standards.

Ya gotta love the Nimitz!

The local university hosted the WI National Guard Band last year for a conducting workshop that I took. Every single woman in the Guard Band was hot.

Not to sidetrack this thread completely, but I read somewhere that lately the Nimitz has been attracting Russian planes, which fly overhead seemingly for fun. I think I read that one of them even 'buzzed' the Nimitz.

Is that normal for an aircraft carrier?

Seems to me you'd need to be a pretty drunk Russian to screw with one of the largest aircraft carriers in the U.S. Navy.....

But then, I know little to nothing about this stuff.

Which is why I ask.

Heh, that's typical of what happened during the Cold War. The Russian Bears always tried to fly close to a carrier to see what's going on, etc and would have to be "persuaded" to leave the airspace. By that, I'm talking two F-14's would force the Bear to turn. How? Well, one F-14 is above the end of one wing and the other F-14 beneath the end of the other wing, and *WHAM* *WHAM* *WHAM* Up/Down Up/Down Up/Down. Their job is to protect the carrier at all costs.

When I was on the Carl Vinson, we had a Russian Destroyer chase us from Alaska to Japan for about a week to two weeks. Our escort ship was constantly cutting it off to avoid getting too close. We would routinely see Russian trawlers with more antennae than San Francisco sprouting off of it. Um, can you say SPY VESSEL???

It's not uncommon and don't worry about it. You can't imagine what's happening that ISN'T getting reported

In terms of hot women,

It's probably about even between the Navy and the Airforce for having the more attractive females. The Army would be next and the Marines IMO hold the crown for having the least number of hot chicks.

In my years in the USMC I only recall seeing one objectively fine female and that was during a very early morning road checkpoint, so it might have been a dream.

Now if you are asking whether I would ever date a military chick.. the answer would be NO! regardless of her relative eye candy value.

Having spent 9 years in the Infantry, I almost never saw a female soldier. Those that I did see were, with maybe one or two exceptions, cute but not hot based on looks alone. But some cute ones became more cute or hot based on their minds. I will say this thoguh, thee are not ugly women serving in Korea ;)

looking at the thread on that irandefence forum, i suddenly have an urge to join the IDF...

yeah i've seen a number of pretty decent looking chicks in the IDF actually. But then again they conscript - so you get a better sampling of the population as a whole than in a volunteer force like ours.

Also because they draft for cultural reasons they must show that the soldiers are still "women". I don't know if their uniform regs have changed but once the women had to have a handbag on her like her male counterpart had his kevlar and helmet.
