Food on TNG, DS9 & VOY

Hi there, I'm on a search for any episodes where food is featured (not mentioned) on TNG, DS9 and VOY. I'm trying to remember the episodes where a "spread" is featured - you know - like where there's a banquet or reception going on (like in DS9 "Rejoined" where they're having a reception for the Trill science team). Or any episodes where they show interesting dishes of food. I have plenty of Picard with his Earl Grey :) Anyone have any good suggestions? Squid

Yeah, I'm working my way through Memory-Alpha, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Didn't know if anyone had any thoughts for a specific episode, especially since a lot of memory alpha mentions food even when it is only spoken of or in passing reference.

And you're sure it couldn't be TOS' famous "Journey To Babel" banquet scene? Can you describe the kind of dish more?

Hi Belar & Ethros - I'm not looking for one specific image. Rather many, and the examples from "Cordially Invited" and "Sins of the Father" are right on the money. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm trying to also remember that TNG episode where the aliens come on board and try to experience all the different human emotions, while watching the crews reaction. There were food scenes in that as well - just can't remember the name of the episode. But yeah, stuff like that, where a really interesting dish or spread of food is featured really prominently.

I think that episode was called Liasons...or something. Isn't that the one where Troi is showing the ambassador she is "watching" all about pleasures? And she eats A LOT of chocolate!

If you have Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and the Expansion Pack, there is a PADD in the messhall you can access that has a list of Neelix's recipe's for his various "culinary" delights, including measurements, cooking time/technique, etc.

yeah, that's Liasons.

Hi CommanderTrip - I don't have the VOY Elite Force unfortunately. I do have the Star Trek Cookbook which has been sort of helpful. Does the Elite Force show the actual food as it was shown on the show? I'm not looking for recipes, but rather the actual visual of the food as shown on the various shows.
Cheers - Squid

^ It is a computer model and it's only shown on the replicator terminal. The recipes were the same as in the Cookbook.

I remember they're having a banquet in TNGs Menage A Troi but Im not sure how clearly you can see the food; also on a similar note the TNG episode with the plague carriers where Mr. Homm(sp?) has to ring the dinner gong constantly.

There's a TNg episode where Riker is cooking breakfast (eggs) for the othe crew. It's season 2 but can't recall the episode off the top of my head. In the Pegausus Picard looks like he's having Chinese (or Japanese) in the scene just before he hauls Riker on the carpet. Keiko and O'Brien are seen having a meal in an episode, but again, I can't recall which one, and Picard and Bev have breakfast in one or two episodes. In Genesis Troi and Worf have a meal in Ten forward; Wes and Jono have banana splits in Suddenly Human and Riker has a Klingon banquet in A Matter of Honour. And in The Vengeance Factor Yuta cooks him something called Partha.

Okay that's it for now.
