Follow up series to Star Wars: Legacy of the Force announced

I know Karpyshyn is all about Bane... but shouldn't he be doing a KoTOR novel?
Anyway, a standalone Jaden novel is probably enough to make me pick up a Star Wars book for the first time since the Corellian trilogy.

Just saw that one of the post LotF novels they have in line is a Jaden Korr novel...got to say I've extremely surprised that they are doing a novel on this character.

Wait wait wait... this is the same Jaden from the games? They actually used this character somewhere?
I guess in the canon Jaden is male?

Yep. He appeared in LotF's Fury and something else that involved Jan Ors searching for Katarn during the Vong war. Pretty sure Jaden has been referenced as a "he", but his species is still completely up in the air.

Fury is the only fiction he's been in, but he's been referenced in some RPG material, which is where the Kyle-rescuing thing comes from.

Actually, a lot of these post-LotF novels that aren't part of FotJ sound quite appealing:
-- Paul Kemp's Jaden Korr novel, featuring entirely original characters
Could be okay, but I'd be much more interested if it didn't have Jaden Korr in it...

(But then, I'm in the "they should have never given Revan and the Exile genders" camp. :p)

As someone who's never played a Star Wars videogame, I'm just thrilled to be getting a novel that features what is essentially a "new" Jedi.

In my mind, Jaden is a peppy female character simply because I loved Jennifer Hale's voice work for the game. I almost wish that the story was the other way around though - the game set up a great ending where Jaden steals a mysterious and powerful Sith artifact and Kyle has to go off and stop/try to save his old student.
Still, I'm just glad they're using the character at all I guess, especially since Star Wars games are pretty much dead and the novels are probably all we have now.
