I liked Fett's granddaughter. I hope they utilize her in some way.
Pif. I gave up on the tedious, simplistic exercise in repetition that was Legacy of the Force four books in. This new series has the same format and author line-up, save for replacing one author I midly dislike for one I actively dislike. Pass.

Have already endured Golden's "Sweet Valley Trek", I'm quite certain I've no desire to see her emo, schoolgirl style applied to an even less appropriate setting.

Ben's coming along nicely as a character. Jacen's less recognizable every book. Other than that, haven't missed much. (I've got two more to go.)

At least they got rid of the Boba Fett fangirl author. Traviss' books were a friggin joke so much so that by the end of the series Denning was just retconning or ignoring specific stuff in them.

Mostly it means the release date is a year behind where they're claiming it is, as far as I'm concerned.
heh I hear you. I actually prefer paperback books not just from a financial standpoint, but I don't know if its from typing and playing video games for upwards of 25 years but holding hardcover books can be irritating.

Would have been more excited if it were in the classic era ROTJ - pre-NJO or a post-KOTOR II period. With the KOTOR comics where they are not that surprised it isn't in the KOTOR era.
Not all that pleased about the all hardcover. Wonder if they have a "at least one female" rule with the authors? Would have preferred if Stover was in there instead.
Fate of the Jedi...well, we know the fate of the Jedi, in 100+ years time they will once again be forced underground by the Sith and the Republic they serve will fall. My guess that a big part of it will be the splintering of the Jedi Order and the formation of the Imperial Knights. It will be interesting to see how they have that happen, if they deal with it.

I should have said "Are they going to make the EU characters likeable?" It seems that the next generation of SW characters are all unlikeable prats like Jacen and Jaina Solo.

On a more serious note, I'll most certainly take a look at the new series of SW novels ... but why are they all going to be hardcover?! It's not exactly the 1990s, before the tech bubble burst, in terms of economic conditions, right now.
