Slightly OT, but this story reminds me of an article I read once about 911 abuse.
The article cited a woman who called 911 because her cable was out. The operator told her 911 was for emergencies. The woman yelled "It is an emergency! I don't have cable!" at the 911 operator.
Also, apparently every year, 911 gets calls from people asking how to cook Turkeys... usually at.... xmas or maybe... Thanks giving? Something like that.
What part of "emergency" don't people understand? Car accident... you got shot... you lost the remote.
