Fleet Week in New York

Are any of you New Yorkers or east coast people going to check out Fleet Week this week?

Missed it by only a week...

I have visited the Intrepid, though. Cool stuff.

I would have liked to see more recent ships, though. Is that how this works - any ship nearby can sail into New York, its crew visits the city, and the public can visit the ship?

San Francisco used to host Fleet Week every October(?) I never went but could have since I was stationed in the Bay Area (Alameda) in the 1980's.

I'd love to tour the USS Wasp, which I believe will be visiting the Big Apple.
