Flat Earther to Launch Rocket Proving Earth is not Round

I think the narrative he's pushing is that 'Science' is a mythology comparable to religious mythologies, and something separate from that thing where you critically observe the world and see how stuff works.

Maybe I'm giving him too much credit even with that explanation.

How do flat earthers explain that traveling from Hawaii to Japan takes 8 hours rather than 30 hours?

You know, there should be a NASA mission specifically to take a bunch of flat earthers into space, show them the fucking Earth is a sphere, and bring them back so they can tell their dumbass friends it's a globe.

I'm sure they'd find a way to dispute - probably claiming they didn't actully go into space and it was basically an elaborate music park ride.

NASA doesn't do space travel any more they pay the Russians when they want to send people to the ISS.

So what do they reckon is on the opposite side of the discworld - vacuum, heaven, hell, mirror-universe Earth, Toontown? How thick is the disc and could they not try digging to the opposite side? Do some of them subscribe to the turtle and four elephants theory? Is it turtles all the way down?

Maybe they think there's giant hooks holding up the Earth

It's better than those aliens that believe the Universe was created when God sneezed. They live in fear of the Great Handkerchief coming to clean up the mess.

Not God, the Great Green Arkleseizure. The Coming of the Great White Handkerchief is feared by most Jatravartid people of Viltvodle VI.

"I don’t believe in science," Hughes said, according to the AP. "I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that’s not science, that’s just a formula. There’s no difference between science and science fiction."

Not really much you can do for somebody with that point of view. lol

Pretty much.
Remember kids it's not science. It's just a formula

I don't believe in math, sure I know how to do addition, but that's not math.

It's fun imagining what would have to be true if the Earth were flat. All celestial objects would basically have to be a planetarium show.

In other words a galaxy wide dome....... So this is a Reality Universe / larger version of Reality TV

What's outside the dome - Madame Tussauds, Marylebone Road, and Baker Street?

Hey he said his rocket was steam powered......

So how exactly does that work and would it generate enough thrust for anything or just explode?
