FLASH series being developed for The CW

Impulse was in 3 episodes of Smallville, they always talked about him so it felt like a dozen at least, but the actor Kyle was in three... But in his first one he used the line "I'd come back in time 500 years just to meet you" in reference to the extraordinary Alison Mack, but they went no further explaining his upstream origin.

Professor Zoom. Watch JLA: Flashpoint.

I just watched that for the first time last night. Really good, but the on-screen carnage, wow. (Also Aquaman's design was laughably over-buff.)

(Also also KADUR'AHM! And Tula! And Garth! But especially Kaldur! :D)

Correct.

An ordinary murder.

Until Barry went back in time and stopped it.

FLASHPOINT!

Zoom because of his connection to the Speedforce was inoculated from the changes tot he timeline, and further used the connection to stop Barry from stopping himself from saving his mum with yet more time travel, because he is an Ass who loved the thought that Barry and his Mommy issues destroyed the world, and NO MULLIGANS!

Wondering why a 25th century time-traveler is posing as a detective. Please don't fuck up Zoom, guys.

That's why I think they're going to use elements of Hunter Zolomon - the 25th Century thing is probably a bit too much, but "fallen friend of the Flash" would work really well.

Yeah, that's how it looks. It makes me wonder why they're not just calling him Hunter Zolomon, though. Is it just because the Flash in this show will be Barry, and Zolomon was linked to Wally's Flash?

Killer Frost eh? Nice - usually one of the more minor ice-themed DC villains, but I'll be interested to see what they do with her. (Though, I am kind of surprised that they're going with her considering Captain Cold.)

Worth keeping in mind that this universe has radically reinterpreted some of the comics' characters, so it may not be save to assume anything about where they might be taking a given character. I mean, who knew Black Canary would turn out to be Dinah Laurel Lance's sister?

Not to mention Shrapnel. I had never heard of him before, but once they revealed Scheffer's username from the website, I knew he had to be from the comics. So I looked him up, and the character on Arrow is absolutely nothing like the comic character. I get not wanting to have a guy made entirely out of metal, but the comic character didn't even use explosives.

And I thought Smallville's Mxyzptlk was a poor interpretation...

Professor Zoom. Watch JLA: Flashpoint.

In the comics, that was Professor Zoom who killed his mom when he was a kid.

After hearing Barry's description of the murderer I immediately thought "I bet it was Professor Zoom", and I wasn't even aware that he had killed her "before"!

Candice Patton has been cast as Iris West. From Deadline:

Patton, repped by Stone Manners Salners Agency and Cirrincione & Associates, will play Iris West, Allen’s fast-talking, quick-witted best friend who is also the daughter of Detective West (Martin), who serves as a surrogate father to Barry.

Candice Patton has been cast as Iris West.

Not familiar with her -- or at least I don't remember her from the Heroes and Castle episodes IMDb says I've seen her in -- but she looks pretty nice. It seems the producers have a type; she's got some traits that remind me of Katie Cassidy, the narrow face and the shape of the eyes. But they work much better on Patton.

I don't remember seeing her in anything else either but she's pretty easy on the eyes.

She's also been on "Harry's Law" for an episode. I planning to rewatch that show, anyway. Can't quite remember her, but she definitely looks nice.

The new Vibe was pretty cool in his 52 reboot. I will be interested to see how far they take him.

Ugh, the only Vibe I am familiar with is from the DC Shorts. Please let it not be anything like him.

Vibe...because that's what DC's live action properties need...more Justice League Detroit....

It'd nice if like how the original Flash series gave Robert Shayne a reaccuring role, they give a reaccuring part to John Wesley Shipp.
