    Good afternoon,

I"m trying to locate any information on the correct spacing and placement for the flag officer rank "lozenge" you'd find on an admirals uniform in the eras of Start Trek 2 through 6.

To be clear I"m looking for the spacing between the silver rectangles that would be on the mulitcoloured braid worn on a flag officers tunic.

    Thank you.

I assume that @AlbertaAdmiar is referring to these:

There are some indications that there is also a sixth pattern, with five lozenges rather than four, worn by the "CinC" in TUC.

Most sources identify them (bottom to top) as: Commodore, Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, Admiral and Fleet Admiral.

However, if we assume parity with the "boxed pips" system from TNG (which mostly complies with the NATO "n stars" system) then we get (bottom to top): Commodore, Rear Admiral Lower Half (or FASA Branch Admiral), Rear Admiral, (Fleet) Vice Admiral, (Fleet) Admiral.
