If i see another hero casually walking away from a massive explosion behind them, I may just scream.
Damn you, Abrams!
Ha ha - the Joker explosion is the worst. The stupidest thing about that is that his henchmen had to put enough explosives in the hospital in the first place - I mean Jesus were they going backwards and forwards for a week? How bad is hospital security in Gotham? They must have disguised themselves as Sunny & Sweet delivery boys.
STID: Drop the whole Khan thing. Have John Harrison as a highly intelligent human from the 23rd century who has become disenfranchised with Federation society due to something tragic in his own past, which sees him utilising advanced technology he developed to exact his revenge.
From both films: No Spock/Uhura.
The so called magic blood might not be as far fetched as we might think. Blood is a key component in healing. We're probably more likely to invent "magic blood" than warp drive or transporters.STID: Drop the whole Khan thing. +1!
And Khan's magic blood.
I also think a huge problem is that the reboot started with movies and not a series. The movies were always action packed, the series were about exploring both space and the human condition. We, perhaps wrongfully, have a taste in our mouths at the reboot will only be about action.

Leslie has the distinction of being known as the first Star Trek recurring character to appear to return from the dead. He appeared to came back from the dead because in "Obsession", he was pronounced dead by Dr. McCoy after an attack by the cloud creature. He was also listed by Kirk as one of the two unnamed and deceased officers in his log entry. However, later in the same episode, he inexplicably appeared twice – walking by Kirk's quarters, and again walking past sickbay. This may indicate that he was somehow resurrected from the dead. On the other hand, there could be a more mundane answer. Perhaps Leslie had an identical twin brother or a clone? It's impossible to say for sure.
According to Paskey, a scene in the script for "Obsession" that had all three victims of the landing party attacked by the creature would have them coming back to life later in sickbay due to a miracle potion. He mentioned that this scene was never filmed. Director Ralph Senensky confirmed that he did not film it.
Paskey continued to appear in subsequent episodes and his character was called "Leslie" by Kirk in "Assignment: Earth", "The Omega Glory", "The Enterprise Incident", and "And the Children Shall Lead".
