Hey, well this probably the worng board to even ask this, but I know a few of you are in shape so here is the question. I really want to bulk out a bit im currently 171lbs but Im weak as hell. Any tips since i've never been in a gym before?

Eat! You need to find out your BMR (go to BB.com)and eat 500-700 calories MORE than that. Get plenty of protein, at least 1.5 grams per pound of bodyweight. Get your body acclimated to lifting progressivley heavier weight...say 6-8 months, then lift heavy with lower reps, say in the 6-8 range.
