This is fast becoming the most talked about movie of 2008, its popping up on the news sites far more than any other movie including Indiana Jones and Batman and is generating a lot of interest! Its in the major news sites often when casting news comes up, even BBC and CNN, and its only going to pick up as Dec 2008 approaches.

As for the original Spock actor's name, it's "Nimoy", not "Nemoy".

The photo on the main page (the closeup of Quinto's face) is just cropped from the first photo in the list. In the uncropped version, the face is thankfully un-watermarked.

But, yeah, the watermarks make things difficult in particular with those window shots, which are already obscured by reflection.

They do that so you know they took the pics. I bet also so they can't be reposted by someone else claiming they took the shot.

^ You're preaching to the choir. That watermark is beyond annoying. I can understand them wanting to keep them exclusive, but watermarking the whole damn pic. just assures me I would never buy a damn thing from their site or advertisers.

It would be too easy to crop. This is the easiest way for them to guarantee that nobody can post or display the picture without knowing who published it first.

Is it just me, or have they given Quinto earlobes?

It would make sense, since he will possibly be seen standing right next to Nimoy. And the lobes are part of the very-familiar Spock look, even if people don't think about it consciously.

I'm still startled by these photos.

I have to admit I am quite impressed with how much Quinto looks like Spock, but I wouldn't want to let him give me a mind-meld.

The chapel location looks great. I remember seeing it before in some movie or documentary.

I'm going out on a limb here, but if there's a second film with this cast, my guess is that without Nimoy to compare him to they won't give Quinto the longer lobes next time, just the points.
