First Picture Of The New K9

Oh, so this is going to be live action? For some reason I was under the impression that it was going to be animated.

Early reports suggested it would be all animation, but apparently it's actually a mix of live action and computer animation.

I want the non-threatening K9 of my youth back! Looks like it should be curled up at the feet of a cyberman. Bad dog.

In an ever changing world it's nice to see that Doctor Who fans reactions to anything new or different always remain the same. :p

If Matt Smith is really getting a new TARDIS I can't wait until the first photo of it appears on-line!

yeah becasue that is limited to Doctor Who fans

I dont care for this K9 series, im going to pretend it doesn't exist

The original design was so beautiful.

Is this some use of the word "beautiful" that I'm not familiar with? It's a relic of the 70's that gets a pass in DW/TSJA due to the nostalgia factor.

As the main character in a series being made as much for children who've never heard of him before as those who have it'd be laughed off the screen and rightly so.

He looks like he belongs on a scary Japanese cartoon... and a little like a toy my sister had when she was younger.

'bout time he got some upgrades - hopefully he'll move faster that .2 mph ;)

There will always be people who prefer the way things were. In my case I prefer the old K9, but I really like the new Cybermen. Horses for courses.

For me, the deciding factor for this show will be John Leeson. If he's not doing the voice (and I doubt he will be, though who knows), I won't be bothering. It's as much his performance as anything else that makes K-9 work.

I think he looks pretty cool, despite the too-tall ears. But I must have missed something -- is this for a new K-9 series or something?
