First looks at Jason Momoa as Conan...

I like Momoa's looks. As for what a Cimmerian looks like...I guess they look like Jason Momoa now.

Strange, exotic tribe from the mists of time...yeah, he'll do.

Now if they'll only come up with a script (REH based?) that's worth sitting through.

Doesn't seem to be any other "Conan The Barbarian" threads so I guess we'll stick with this one. New trailer just came out...stopped watching due to the quick rapid fire cuts.

Looks pretty cool to me. At this point, I don't know if I'd put it up with Thor, Captain America, Green Lantern, or On Stranger Tides, but I will certainly be keeping an eye on it.

The main reasons I'm interested in this are Jason Mamoa, Rose McGowan, and Ron Perlman and if it weren't for them I probably wouldn't even consider this being anything more than a rental.

The visuals are impressive anyway. So is Rachel Nichols the princess wearing the fancy white headdress (romantic interest, I presume) and Rose McGowan is the weird looking sorceress?

The visuals look good, Jason Mamoa I'm kind of warming up to as Conan but really couldn't tell much from the trailer and like I said the rapid fire cutting was giving me a headache so I didn't watch all of it. I hope the next trailer is a normal one.

I still like Momoa as Conan, and the rest of the cast is pretty cool (Stephen Lang is always good). I'm just worried about the film's director. Marcus Nispel doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Yep, this is the first trailer, there was a teaser trailer released a few months ago that didn't reveal anything at all. There will probably be at least two more then TV spots.

Momoa looks good as Conan in action. I was uncertain based on the still pics released months ago but in action he looks quite convincing. Based on the visuals it seems they are going for an epic in scope film. Some of the cinematography(real or cgi) gave off quite an array of topography.

Count me as those whose interest is up cause Ron Pearlman is also involved. He is one of my favorite genre actors.

I wish I could remind the guy in that link that it's very common for a tentpole film's first trailer to be mostly flashy and full of money shots. It's the second trailer that shows the story and then tries to lure you in with "talky".

^ I agree with the guy in the article though...this was filled with unnecessary rapid fire cuts. I didn't finish watching it because of that.

Then you only missed about 20seconds of the trailer, maybe less. That was when it was most noticeable to me.

I'm certainly impressed! The trailer looks far more epic than I imagined. (granted, my expectations were low)
