Oh, to me it looks very much in keeping with the look of his other films. Heck, it's almost as if Depp never took off his pale makeup from Sweeney Todd.

Its the red makeup that gives him such a different look. Around his eyes but there is a reddish hue to the white on his face. Plus yellow contacts and the orange hair. I just watched the mini series John Adams. This reminds me of how the French aristocrats were dressed. Very different from the Gothic look Burton normally goes.

Seriously it looks great. We got Nightmare before Christmas the last time Burton and Disney worked together so my expectations are high. Depp as the Mad Hatter is also a nice bonus.
