Spoilers First hand behind the scenes information

And how the heck did SHRUG emoji turn into? ‍♂️
I don't believe the board supports emojis. However, some emoji characters are actually combinations of multiple characters that are displayed as one icon and, on systems without the latest version of the emoji catalog, will display as their constituent characters. So, for instance, "male shrugging" is made of the emojis for "male" and "person shrugging," but the "male" sign is an older character and not a "real" emoji, so it's the only one the board recognized.

I've had a similar issue using an older laptop, where I see a new emoji represented as two or three characters, one of which is an empty box.

Now I want to see what a Disco version of the Refit Enterprise would look like.

My guess is it would look the exact same way it has all along.

Probably.

TOS Enterprise may be favored by a lot of old-time fans, but I imagine that the version used in the TOS-based films is the best-known, and is the most detailed model design of any of the Enterprises. It's a good deal more modern-looking even now than most of the others save perhaps the TNG version* and has served as a major reference for all the later versions - including the JJPrise in very big ways.

*Which does have elements that sort of nail it to the late 20th century.

I would be curious to see what the refit warp effect could look like with modern fx. That is the design's biggest weakness to me -- it always looked like a static model when it was supposed to be warping off. Some nacelle lights or something would help.

Disagree. It probably would look closer to that picture above. The interesting thing would be to see what the Discostyle versions of the B, C, D and E would look like. Given the more modern technology, etc.

Well there ya go, the Enterprise Confrence room is what I meant when I said "war room". Anyway, looked better on tv then what I saw in photos :)
They called it the briefing lounge in WNMHGB, which would be fitting because that episode—more than any other—set the tone for the design we saw.

Yeah, conference rooms or briefing rooms can also be referred to as "ward rooms" (as the briefing room on DS9 was). That's probably what you heard. Or the guy you heard it from misheard it as "war room" and thought it was something else.
