Hey Hoity, a question: Has there been any inquiries or rumors of a Trek series being done on Pike's Enterprise? Has there been a noticeable reaction to the demand for such a show? People REALLY like Anson Mount as Pike and we all pretty much want more of him and the adventures of the pre Kirk Enterprise.

Well like I said about the turbo lift scene it isn’t worth stressing over as the internal art team did NOT give direction for the turbolifts to look like that. It was purely done by the external post production team under the guidance of the director, or higher ups to add some flare. The internal art team hated it as well.
That's the opposite of a reassuring argument. If there's no oversight for something this bizarre making it through post-production onto an aired episode, what's to stop it from happening again, or something even worse?

I guess we can add photon torpedoes being launched from the warp nacelles to that list where the ball was dropped. I guess they thought the two small holes are torpedo launchers. What I do not get is - while the scale of Discovery is apparently inconsistent within in the show - the CGI artists have a default scale in their software they should know something is off if a torpedo is the size of three decks.

Discovery seems to fire torpedoes from wherever the heck it feels like. In 'Into the Forest I go' and 'What's past is prologue' the torpedoes seemed to be coming out of random spots on the hull.

It's almost becoming a running joke at this point.

Considering TOS and its movies showed torpedoes being manually loaded, I think Discovery just has a group of enslaved torpedo crew solely to shoot torpedoes out of any space in the hull. Shortly afterwards, they revolted and in the future they weren't used and instead automated torpedoes were shot out of preconfigured locations.

And it wasn't clear why they had a burial in space and didn't return Airiam's body to any family members. The next time this will happen, Sarek will throw a fit.

could be her stated wishes. Modern navies and coast guards have arrangements for it still , even though it is seldom strictly necessary, now.

Well so far you’ve been right about us seeing Pike in his chair, and him ordering the evacuation of Discovery

And the promo for next week's episode shows a brief glimpse of the Enterprise bridge, complete with Burke chairs and red railings.
