First Guest Star for Tennant's Finale revealed. (BIG SPOILERS!)

"Verity" nice touch

I hope Verity turns the book into a tv series called "Doctor What"

It could be like Stargate SG-1's "wormhole extreme"

what if Sarah Jane has a copy?

could we see an episode where Luke & co are watching a TV show based on it? or they win a Blue Peter competition to visit the set, and find a real alien threat, Sarah Jane & the gang must help the actor who plays the Doctor defeat the alien, before the BBC notice there is a problem.

okay, now I'm bloody curious about between which scenes in the two parter that John and Joan(? Oh, that does sound weird.) did it?

My gut tells me it was just before she told him to call her by her first name and not matron.

This does make Jenny a little less special.

Not that we have ever met Susan's parents.

Truth - New - Man.

We never did find out who picked up the Masters ring at the end of season three.

Aw crap. I smell an RTD retread. I'm praying for something original to come out of this, and not a "Human Nature II: It's About Time!"...

the problem with the diary of impossible things is perhaps the dalek, if not the talk of every other thingy in it that has come true... UNless this is not set in modern day since Verity's mum or dad on the "Smith-Side" would have had to have been 58 when Verity was born if Verity is the same age as Jessica Hynes.

Though nothing in those pictures scream "70s" to me.

Sweet, my anticipation levels are rising.

Jessica Hynes (and her character Joan) were one of the highlights of season three, so it's nice to see her back.

I'd assume it's her great-Granddaughter. (But was 'John Smith' her great-Grandfather?)

It's not impossible, there was that little gap in the story where John Smith finally opens the watch, it could have happened then. Not very likely though (for one thing I can't see them doing that when the town is being bombarded).

Glad everyone left the library planet in the future or we'd have another book to worry about.

That one seems more dangerous than "Journey of Impossible things" since it contains future adventures whereas Verity's book is all about past things

Interesting and very very cooooooool just to think about.

More wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff to wrap our heads around?

I love this kind of stuff. So a decendant of Redfern could've released the Journal of Impssible Things. So, what is the purpous? Could it be that her decendant is searching for The Doctor and the only way she can do it without time travel ability is to, well, release a book and hope The Doctor comes running with WTF. Thats possible.

Or there is a master plan to expose The Doctor in some way. However, by publishing such a book, it will expose what was, what will and what cant be, therefore, if it is taken as a fact book (which it probably isnt in this instance) could alter time considerably.

Or, she couldve just found it in Redferns attic and thought "Ooh, this is good" and hands it to a publisher as fiction found in an attic. Innocence that leads to destruction and death.

Could be handeled beautifully if done right. We'll just have to wait and see.

Interesting concept. I assume they'll use the same excuse for Verity and Joan being identical as they did with Eve Myles. I'd complain, but Back to the Future taught me that all McFly's look alike too...

It'll be nice to see the Doctor agonising over the life he could have had throughout, though if RTD makes a swerve that the Doctor is a father, that'll rip the innocence out of that relationship ;)

Odd side note.. but wasn't it Sydney Newman who came up with the idea of 'bigger on the inside'? Or am I misremembering?
