First Contact

So when meeting a newly discovered primitive tribe one of the fist things you do is give them a box of matches and show them fire and then take out a mirror and show them there reflection, which could be interepreted by primitives as capturing there souls.

It's actually pretty amazing when you know that even in this age there are people, actual human beings, out there that have had no contact with life outside there own little borders and still live primitive lives.

I prefer to give them smallpox and guns; it leads to a much more exciting denouement.

At least the Indian government in their wisdom have been discouraging any access or approaches to North Sentinel Island, in the Bay of Bengal, where one of the most isolated tribes on the Earth lives. These people have shown hostility to any one approaching their island and it has been decided that it is best to leave them in peace.

The Sentinelese

Well just based on that first clip, no earlier than about 1985. That's about when the Min-mag flashlight was introduced. The music player would also fit in to about the same time period.

^I agree it would be better with the original sound because one could actually hear the people talking and feel their reactions through the tone of their voices better and all that jazz, but I don't think the music is horrible, I think it's actually nice and suits the video just fine. Tastes... not to be discussed... :P

Fascinating video... they probably thought they were forest spirits or something.

I'd be interested to see the impact this had on the tribe after they went back home. Did they go back and tell stories of the White Men? What did it do to fuck up their belief system?

You see, the Super Adventure Club was founded by the greatest exploere of all time, William P. Phinehas! Phinehas climbed the highest peaks, tamed the mightiest rivers, but every time he got somewhere, he realized that other explorers had beat him to it. Phinehas was depressed, until he realized that if he couldn't be the first to discover places, he could be the first to have sex with the native children that inhabited those areas!

Phinehas quickly went down in history books as the first man to have sex with the Aborigine children at Uluru, and the first explorer to bugger all the underage mountainfolk of Nepal. But now the most wonderful part: you see, after having sex with all those children, Phinehas realized that molesting all those kids had made him immortal.
