Firefox add-ons.

I think it's a pretty long time since we had one of these, and as I recently had to find all of mine again in order to install them on a completely virgin system I thought I'd share.

I found browsing without these:

BBCode - Nice little tool with BBCode in the right-click-menu
Converter - One click converts all of your basic inferior units on an entire page to something that's understandable (and the other way 'round as well)
Date Picker/Calendar
DictionarySearch
Fast Video Download
Forecastfox
GooglePreview
ImageZoom - Sometimes you just need to watch an image closer up (or further away so it doesn't stretch the page)
PageStyle2Tab - Does what it says, and is very practical if you have multiple browser windows open and they all have multiple tab-lines…
Remove It Permanently - Some things are just THAT repulsive
Resizeable Textarea - Fantastic for use right here on this board
Tab Mix Plus - well, duh!
and
Text-to-Image - If there's a link to an image one click is all it takes for the Fox to show the image instead of the link (sometimes I leave it 'on' so I can see all the images linked to in sigs!)

very hard and laborious.

So what are your most tremendously useful add-ons?

I have used most of those, but I replaced 2 of those with No Squint, look it up.

RAMA

I like my Firefox just plain. Except for my Ubuntu Firefox pack.

Blocksite (for annoying ad sites that leak through)
DownloadHelper (good all round vid downloader)
FlashBlock (I prefer to pick and choose)
AdBlock (before anyone jumps, I pay my Premium here ;))
WOT (handy when searching, gives an idea of where you're going)
BetterPrivacy (recent addition)

anyone got a "no memory leak" add-on? ;)

go into aboug:config

right click anywhere and select New>Boolean
and enter this:

config.trim_on_minimize

and then set the value to 'true'
now firefox will dump itself from ram when you minimize
I watched it go from like 250k to 3k in the task manager :thumb:

although it doesn't cure the memory hog it just puts it away for a while when you're doing something else

*** NEWSFLASH *** NEWSFLASH *** NEWSFLASH ***

Apparently the Converter add-on will be upgraded to not only convert units but also currencies.
