Firefox 5 ?

I haven't been experiencing any problems with version 6.0.1 on Windows XP SP3.

Are you using any addons. Perhaps one of them is causing problems.

I tried to check, but it crashes everytime I try to use the manage add-ons option.

Edit: I tried re-installing 6.0.1...no luck...I'm using Windows 7, by the way.

Hell, I'm surprised there are add-ons available with how fast each version comes out.

Mmh, can't say I've experienced any problems. Same on the add-ons front. But I did disable the 'check for compatibility' option at one point because I always get the beta versions and not being able to use mouse gestures got annoying. I suppose that doesn't work with all add-ons but I never had a problem overriding the compatibility thingy in earlier versions, either.

The latest update has turned Firefox into an unstable mess. It crashes repeatedly. I'm back to using Internet Explorer for a while.

How bad is it when IE is a step up?

Pretty bad...I gave up on IE, though. It was too clunky with the scrolling.

I'm using Chrome now. It took me a minute to find how to use bookmarks, transfer bookmarks over from Firefox, and set a permanent zoom of 120%. It's working well now.

Edit: Chrome seems much faster than IE or Firefox. I'm making it my default browser.

And, "right on schedule", Firefox7 is here

Or at least trying to be here, I'm not having any of it.

Wish I knew if 5 is OK with Freecorder yet. Or with the fast release schedule, do they bother to shoot for compatibility with last month's version?

You know what this schedule is doing that I don't like? Making the addons obsolete. I liked the Firefox Addons, yet with every new release I feel like I'm losing more and more and the developers can't keep up with Mozilla's release schedule. It's kind of a shame really.

The question I still have is, if they're on 7 now, and last week the add-ons weren't caught up to 6, will they still bother to make them compatible for 6? Or 5?

Asked to update to 7.0.1 today after updating to 7.0 earlier this week. This new numbering scheme is fucking annoying.
