Find my friend's puppy!

This is kind of a crazy story. One of my best friends lost their little black pug Boris last week. He and his brother Buzzo were playing in the backyard and dug a hole under the fence. They both escaped.

Buzzo was found about 30 minutes later by the police and quickly returned home. Boris, however, is still on the loose.

In addition to putting up flyers and eliciting help from friends, they also started a facebook page for Boris. In the 9 days since he's been missing, Boris has gained over 1,500 Facebook Friends! A local reporter put an article in the paper, and another reporter put a story on the news!

I find the whole thing pretty impressive, both from a technological standpoint and from a community outreach standpoint. It feels like half the city is out looking for this puppy. I even mentioned to my office to keep an eye out for a black pug, and one of my coworkers replied, "You mean Boris? The dog from Facebook?" It's crazy how fast this search has grown!

What's crazy about it is that there IS a lot of interest in the community. Random people that my friend has never even met have joined the search for Boris just because word has spread on facebook. I think it's pretty cool.

I knew I shouldn't click on that link! I knew there was going to be an adorable picture of Boris that would just make me sad!

I'm sure with all the people in the city on the lookout somebody will come across him soon.

See, at this point, we think somebody must have already found him but just aren't reporting it to anybody. Hopefully some douchebag hasn't decided to keep Boris for himself.

His brother Buzzo is so sad! He doesn't play anymore. He just stares out the window looking for Boris.
