... and onions ... (these entries are certainly a'peeling ;)).

... ahem ...

A rose by any other name would certainly smell as sweet, but what if it were a different color? What would we call it then?

B.J. wanted us to paint roses a different color in November, or at least, starships (or any other vehicle that had an iconic appearance), so we got out our paintbrushes, crayons, or tablets and started splashing new colors everywhere. A whole fleet meant to turn your heads, and once they do, you should see the voting booth! Cast your vote for your favorite alternative livery (no onions!) and you'll be choosing more than the November winner - 2 days from now, someone will park their beautiful starship on the podium and announce their challenge for December!

And because we got so many entries, you'll even get to vote for two! (In case of a tie, we'll have a run-off vote ;)). So, open the curtains and see what awaits you! See the new suits for November, 2014!

There we go - your entries had double-spaces in the filenames and even though they showed up when I made the poll, they vanished when it was posted. All fixed! ;)

YAY! :D

and i didnt vote for myself cus you peoples make much better ship arts :) :techman:

I love em all but I voted for Klaus's unexpected color scheme; There is just something compelling about that space shot!

I love BJs 3rd entry. It makes the ship look sleeker and has a feel of British Airways logo.

Remember to vote for two!

I voted for Albertese and Ptrope. I especially liked the alternate history livery.

I can never bring myself to vote for multiples, so I always just choose one. It was very tough, all the different schemes were really well done. It came down to BJ's #3 the Boy Scout colors vs Ptrops UFP Starfleet 1. While I really loved Ptrops, there was something really special about BJs Boy Scout, so thats who I voted for.

I would have considered voting for BJ #3, but as Carol Marcus said, "Jim Kirk was many things, but he was NEVER a Boy Scout!"

You know the difference between Starfleet and the Boy Scouts? The Boy Scouts have adult leaders.

You know the difference between Starfleet and the Boy Scouts? The Boys Scouts don't have heavy artillery.

I like all of B.J.'s entries for their graphic design, esp. the Boy Scouts one - I don't know how likely it is they could afford their own starship ;), but it's beautiful. So it was that, and Albertese's Roman holiday ;).

Congrats Ptrope! I had hoped to have time to complete an entry, which would have been the Enterprise-D in TOS Enterprise livery. I may whip something up anyway, but am also looking forward to the December contest!

Thanks - so am I! ;) Gotta go home tonight and put my thinking cap on for something warm and toasty for December.

Thanks, folks - we had lots of good entries this month, and great ideas! :bolian:

Congrats, Grand Poohbah! ...my winner alarm isn't infallible but it works pretty well.
