To be remastered and released on the PS3 and Vita.

As much as I'd have loved VII and VIII being remastered, they're already available as PSOne Classics so X makes sense, and I can finally retire my PS2 now as this was probably the only game I kept it for.
Hopefully they'll go back and do VII, VIII and IX at some point in the future.

Final Fantasy X will be re-released on PlayStation 3 and Vita, it has been revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2011.
First released in Europe in 2002 for PlayStation 2, the role-playing game will receive a high definition upgrade for both systems.
Final Fantasy X saw Blitzball star Tidus join a pilgrimage to defeat a whale-like creature from destroying the planet.
Square Enix also announced that Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released in Japan by the end of the year, and that PSP title Final Fantasy Type-O will be available on October 27.
