Final dossiers & Enterprise class revealed

Why would it be anything but a Constitution Class? How is this a revelation?

I'm too bored to get into too much detail now, lets say there was some debate on the matter around here.
About the new E being a redesign, a prototype, that maybe they would make it an Enterprise class, where is the uss Constitution etc etc etc

So having official, final word on the matter is a revelation of some kind....

If the Abramsprise is a one-of-a-kind prototype, Maybe the "new" Enterprise should be NX-1701 and not NCC-1701?

It looks in the Abrams-trek timeline Starflleet reserved Enterprise 1701 for an experimental prototype ship. The other ships could still be standard Connies as in the prime timeline.
Then again, TMP Connie refits are still considered Constitution Class even though they’re essentially a new ship.

Wow!

I am late to the party but I guess there have been some seriously bitchy arguments here about certain design elements for the new Enterprise?
Uh, yeah, you could say that, but then again... it IS TrekBBS ya know!! There are always some group of fanboys bitching from their basements. :cardie:

Re: NuSpock's dossier -

What the hell does "Commander at Starfleet Academy" mean? So he's a teacher and his posting is there?

I've been mulling over something lately that I haven't head discussed yet (I haven't really looked that hard either, tho.)

Is there anything in the movie that specifically says the Enterprise in Iowa is being newly built, and not just refitted? Could she have been built 'to specs' back in San Francisco in 2245, and now being refitted with chrome and fins etc?
