Filming of Season 2..?

I wouldn't be surprised if they waited till late spring or even the summer to shoot. The pandemic should be far more under control by then (at least till the winter) and many more people should be vaccinated in the US too.

If that's the case, surely Alex Kurtzman or Terry Matalas would have something to say about it.

The show has been in a holding pattern for too long.

Patrick Stewart is being the diligent captain that he is.

Instead of coursing through the waves like Ahab on a vengeful quest to spear the next season, or Moby Dick, Stewart has pulled the Peaquod out of the timeline and changed course to avoid Covid-19, which is the giant squid that is hunting both Moby Dick and Ahab.

I'm confused. Was there a giant squid in Moby Dick that was so dangerous it forced Ahab and the Whale to put aside their differences and team up against it?

No. If I recall correctly, Ahab's quest for vengeance is calmed by some of Ishmael's wise words, but then the Whale kidnaps Queequeg and Ahab must swim down to its underwater lair and offers himself up as a sacrifice. Together, however, Queequeg and Ahab managed to kill the foul beast, all the while First Mate Starbuck and Pip the Cabin Boy make first contact with the Vulcans.
