So where can I go to test for a role in the new film? Is there a site that deals with extras who will someday be discovered and turned into the next big thing?

No extra has ever gone directly from that into the next big thing.

Take acting lessons, go to auditions, get an agent.

The whole next big thing was kind of a joke. I was just hoping that they might need lots of extras like Transformers 3 and TDKR and Superman. Especially since those movies all filmed in the midwest near Chicago.
