Might be type casting, but he could play Tracy. He's the same age as Shatner, so it might read different than Woodward, who was a few years older. .Surprisingly Robert Duvall was still doing episodic guest spots during Star Trek's run. I've been trying to think of a role that would have been good for him
I'm seeing that Woodward was 6'3"!Interesting but Duvall is only 5ft 9 which is closer to Shatner than Woodward who is much taller. I kind of like the fact that Captain Tracy was a bigger larger more intimidating figure than Kirk.
How about replacing the Bartender in "Trouble with Tribbles"
with Bill Cosby?
I didn't know that but I suspected he was over six foot. The suggestion I used earlier of Robert Ryan surprised me when I found out Robert Ryan was six foot four. Although if we keep picking bigger and bigger actors for the role then it will become more unrealistic that Captain Kirk actually wins. LOL.
I can just see fans now -- "Oh come on, Kirk can't beat Captain Tracy when he's portrayed by Richard Kiel.!'
I'm seeing that Woodward was 6'3"!
If Bill Cosby's offscreen behavior would make one episode awkward,
wouldn't Gene Roddenberry's offscreen behavior make the entire franchise awkward?
I know that there is no such thing as a perfect human being.I know Gene was unfaithful, but do you know something else that I don't?
