I have already commit on this before in other posts, but i find is strange that only ONE woman has been cast in Star Trek XI movie. So much for woman equality in Star Trek TOS.
This brings me to my subject, that prominence of a woman as high ranking officer among the crew of a starship was one of the reasons that the original Star Trek pilot ,,the Cage,, was rejected by NBC,who felt that the alien Spock and female Number One would be rejected by audiences, according to Roddenberry. So Roddenberry compromised by eliminating female Number One played by Majel Barrett and kept Spock for the second pilot..
However i feel its time in 2007 to correct this injustice by reinstate female character as Number One in Star Trek XI. Spock can be science officer instead.
