Feline Follies

My cat Mister went in for a surgical consultation yesterday. The mass in his liver is too close to the main vein to be safely removed. So... that's that.

He's still eating and acting normally, so we're just taking it one day at a time.

I'm so sorry. I'm glad he's still feels good enough to act normally. Give him a pat on the head from me.

We had a bunny that had a herniated diaphragm and the sonogram showed some of her abdominal organs were pushed up into her lung space. She lived to be almost 14, which is very old for a rabbit. We were just careful in picking her up. She also had severe arthritis on her right side, neurological impairments on her left side, and a full cataract in her left eye. She had gotten to where she looked like a seal eating her treats.

But then we had another bunny that we spent a whole lot of money on for abscesses in her jaw and suddenly found she had a mass in her chest and ended up putting her to sleep a month later.

You just don't know how long you've got with your furry friend. Just give them all the love while you can. They can sense it and are comforted by it.
