Feline Follies

I have not been looking forward to making this post, but last month we lost our boy Gimli. He joined our family as a kitten when we were living in Romania in 2006 and has moved with us back to Canada, then to New York, and then back to Canada again.

Here he is as a kitten getting into trouble with his sister.

One of my favourite pictures of me with him.

That's him on the left sitting on my wife's lap when she was pregnant with our daughter who is now 11.

He was always looking to scavenge food. He once stole a complete porkchop off my wife's plate while sitting in her lap.

He loved relaxing with his legs draped over just about anything.

And now he's back home with us forever.

May you have running faucets wherever you go.
May you have open cans of tuna whenever you wish.
May you have the juicy remains of a roasted chicken whenever you want.
May you be able to steal as many pork chops as you want from someone’s plate.
May you find a warm lap to sleep in whenever you wish.
May you find a good chin scratch whenever you need one.
May you find a comfortable shoulder to drape over whenever it suits you.
May you find a warm patch of sunshine wherever you go.
Rest In Peace my little buddy.
I love you.

It always hurts to loose anyone you love (including the furry ones) but, we've always got the memories to hold on too...

I think I solved the problem with my cat pooping on the top-entry lid. I just rotated the lid 180 degrees so the hole is in front.

Littenlady says kittens who are new to meat frequently growl when eating. They don’t know why but it happens a lot. It’s also stupid cuteeeee.
