the hamster cat going in the wheel.. :)

I let my hamster do the sphere thing --- little ball to run around the apartment in.. he was liking it .. he came right out of his cage and jumped into the sphere and then stopped going after about 15-20 minutes just sitting there tired I guessed and he got out back into his cage no problem --- usually it had been squeaking and stuff .. using my hand to handle him in and out.. but it is good..--- I leave him alone mostly -- Burt is his name. his buddy Ernie died about a month ago.. :( so he is alone now.. but doing very good.. he is. -- mmm you know there is no sign of maleness going on but I still call him he.== :) Burt and Ernie did not have babies so yeah I was lucky- :)

Our 15 year guy still zooms around the house on his whim. A few years ago he was startled by my husband; he leapt at least four feet straight up into the air clearing the armchair next to him and raced out of the room. We were so amazed we could hardly speak for a few moments.

Did you ever notice that most cats tend to be left-handed, or rather left, pawed??
Actually that's not true. Unlike humans, lateral bias in cats is almost 50/50. But, also unlike humans, gender plays a big part--most female cats are right-pawed and most males are left-pawed. If you Google it, you can find articles from Nat Geo and the Smithsonian.
