Lactose intolerant?
Funny! But I'm certain that if a person really died, the cat (or dog) could tell the difference. Loss of body heat, lack of breathing their more sensitive ears would more readily notice, the odors of cell death long before we humans could detect, and so on. Shoot, they can probably tell the difference between "faking" death, plain old sleep and a catatonic (sorry) collapse. Now, HOW they might react, well, that will be dependent upon the individual pet. I'm suspect her pets merely thought, "Meh, the food giver is just doing one of her weird things again."
"Our hooman died. Hair om nom nom!"
"Fly, you fools!"
So....Thanks for the catnip!
My cat got a mouse with a Santa hat but enjoyed a wadded up piece of paper more.My cat loved her gifts a new wide scratch pad and a harness. She also got some toys and food. What did your cat get?
