Feline Follies

He's been really lonely. The last week or so, there have been people working in the house, preparing for my dad to come home, but they haven't been giving him much attention. I'm not sure how much attention my mom is paying him when she gets home. Unfortunately, I believe my mom had packed his catnip temporarily so I couldn't find it when I was there last.

Absolutely!

Guess where Sophie is! Yup! Her bed-chair! The door has been open for three solid days, and she's only wandered out of her room twice, and only about a foot or so. She's been climbing on the cat shelves I put up, hiding in the plastic container I cut a cat-sized hole in, and behind my PC equipment rack, but won't go explore the house! :o

That's the (to us) expensive chair that our other cats destroyed and Jim used to LOVE sleeping in. Actually, it's still in this house BECAUSE it was so special to Jim. It's now Sophie's bed.

Sorry for the multiple posts...but Sophie is at the threshold, sniffing Willow's (Playmates figures) bed box!

You know these situations where cats seem really, really dumb? Like, there are two windows only four feet apart, one's open the other once closed, and the cat's outside, sitting behind the closed window and meowingly demanding to be let in. That's what Cat's been up to lately. I have to actually get up and visibly move towards the open window so Cat comes in through that one. Either he's really stupid, or he's doing it on purpose to mess with me.

I'd lean towards doing it to mess with you:). One of my friends cats does the same thing, but occasionally gets impatient when my friend isn't quite as fast as he used to be.

If by "Love" they mean pissed off, will do everything they can to get it off their head, then bite it and claw at it later, then yes -- they "Love" it.
