Feline Follies

22 Years! Our male black cat was about 21 or 22 when he died, but he was much bigger than that and didn't look as much like a kitten. She's beautiful.

Yup. 4 cats.

The Rune Moggies get downstairs and outside, whilst Maddie and Molly get separate rooms upstairs.

Neither of the older cats like company (lots of hissing) so they are confined, but we make sure that they get plenty of attention during the day.

If a foster gets on with other cats they can roam the whole house, but so far only one of them has.

It's quickly becoming a moggie menagerie!!

The other morning, I saw a stray cat run across the street. I think it was a ginger-tom. Last night, Mycroft was in the window and got all chirpy, and then went to my wife and got real vocal. She went out to look but didn't see anything. A while later, I notice something set off the back light motion detector. Might need to put some food out and try to catch him, but he's not coming inside; he'll have to stay on the closed-in porch (I'll put a space heater out there). I know that sounds mean, but I know someone who brought a stray dog in only to get his other two dogs sick. I'm not willing to risk it for our three cats. If we're able to catch this guy, he WILL get a good home if I have any say in the matter.

^Why didn't the person FILMING THAT save the puppy?? :scream:

If that little cat can make it, the idiot with the phone surely could have.

I like to think he/she would have saved the puppy if the cat hadn't showed up. The ditch was muddy and wet so the phone idiot let the cat do her super hero number.

I also want to believe that after the vid ends the cat didn't suddenly decide that the puppy would be a great substitute for Friskies.

Meanwhile, Millie brought in a massive bird. Not as a gift, just to play with.

The poor thing left bloody feathers everywhere and pooped all over the hallway walls.

It was still alive so we opened the door and it flew away.

Somehow Millie is making me feel like a monster as she is now searching the house high and low looking for her prize/toy.

Hugo - Cats! Who'd have 'em

Oh ick. My mother's cat is tiny, adorable and a bloodthirsty killer. More than once, I've had to pick up dead doves and bloody feathers from her kitchen floor. Now he's got "Soft Paws" and it seems to work. At least Mom hasn't had to go to the ER lately.
