My cat is about 14 years old. Hard to say since he's a rescue. He's been losing weight all summer. He's been prescribes things, had blood tests run, painkillers etc. It works for a little while then he goes back to not eating. I thought he was going to die this weekend. He did that "lonely walk away to be by himself" thing pets do. I've got him on some appetite medicine and he's slowly responding. He'll eat really soupy food and those chicken paste treats. He's still not willing to eat even pate type food. I don't know if he's going to pull out of this or not. I have to be realistic with myself that he probably won't, but he ate more yesterday than he has in weeks, and was eating breakfast (liquid) when I left this morning. I hope that continues. I hate to see him waste away.
