My boy Junior has been having very bad week. He suddenly stopped eating and was behaving like he was in pain. I took him to the vet and they found nothing wrong. Junior 's blood work was perfect. The vet thought he was dehydrated, so they gave him an IV, which perked him up a little. Vet thought it might be pancreatitis. But there was nothing unusual on the ultrasound. So we have an appetite stimulant -- a cream to put in his ear that's supposed to make him want to eat (not sure it works). Junior is drinking on his own now but he only eats a little , and I can tell from his body language and behavior that he's not well He did eat decently this morning but he's been hiding under the bed all day--- not at all his usual behavior. We have been feeding him tuna cat food for years because that was all he wanted but I have heard that tuna is too fatty -- might be what caused the problem. My vet says he's never heard that. Of course, I had just purchased two whole trays of tuna cat food. I gave him a chicken flavored food this morning and he ate a decent amount. Has anyone ever had a cat with pancreatitis?
