Cleaned the carpet today. The cat took a step into the bedroom, felt it was wet, backed out, looked around, took another step elsewhere and backed out again, then left.
So, what happens when there's a very loud BANG outside at 1:30-AM that sends the cats flying off the bed? Spoiler: PHOTO That was last Friday morning. You didn't want me to snap a photo the next morning.
Thinking about fostering a cat,/kitten sometime after December. My cat is crazy and destructive but it's because she needs more play and attention. I work from home but that's possibly worse because she doesn't understand how I'm home all the time but won't play with her. I took care of a friend's kitten for a few months a few years ago and that was the best my cat ever did, and apparently she likes the boarders a lot when I go on trips and leave her with them. I had been planning on getting a dog when I moved but the place I bought isn't what I want for a dog - astroturf backyard, busy road, no place to run, no sidewalk to walk on even. So another cat is the best option. Thing is, I have allergies (why I got a Bengal to begin with) and so does my girlfriend. And the risk that a second cat will just be more destruction. So I'll foster first and see how it works out. If it goes well and doesn't trigger allergies too badly maybe I'll adopt the foster. If it goes well but does trigger allergies I'll have to look into other breeds of less allergenic cats and hope one is affordable and less high maintenance than Bengals.
Fun fact, in The Godfather, that cat was a stray that wandered onto the set. Rather than chase it away, the actor picked it up and started petting it. The director kept the shot.
Do you put anything on top of your wood furniture so the cat doesn't scratch it up? Mine already scratched up a cabinet. I want to get a nice bookshelf with doors but I know he'll be able to get up on top.
