Is she an indoor only, or outdoor/indoor kitty? I've seen some purely indoor cats that seem to get a bit ... bothered ... by large numbers of birds.

She is indoor only always and she is 13 now. We have had her for almost 5 years.

Smokey - my older (surviving) kitty - is an indoor cat too. She's fine seeing one or two birds bouncing around but, sometimes seems disturbed by mobs of them. Maybe she watched "The Birds" once too often!

We have a special shelf in the window for Charlie Cat, right near the "squirrel proof" bird feeder. She watches the birds intently but mostly ignores the squirrels for some reason.

Just ran across a YouTube channel called "BilliSpeaks". It appears this lady taught her cat, Billi, to "speak" by stepping on buttons that play various words, very much like that gorilla Coco who could communicate with humans with sign-language..
