The cat holding the calendar hostage and the one sleeping twisted were ours. The one in the subway doorway was a docent at the New York City Transit Museum.

The medical cat was a picture somebody else posted on Cheezburger. But with my own caption.

One has to wonder the conversations that took place resulting in this act of compassion.

• Did a "grunt" plead the case to his or her superiors?
• Did somebody "in charge" reason it might be a morale booster?

I mean, looking at the photo, it certainly was not an insane amount of work (other than rounding up the strays), but still, that's time, materials and personnel somebody (less caring) might have claimed was "better spent" upon something more "official".

The cats may serve some function at the base. Disneyland sees to the care of feral cats that help contain the non-Mickey rodent population.
