Thanks. He was an absolute goofball too. Very talkative and grousy. Not always loud, but a complainer and a loud purrer. He was a great "little brother" to Maya. He started chasing her 2 hours after I brought him home as a kitten and didn't stop for 13 years. Then he got the last 3 years worth of all the attention. I'm really gonna miss him.

What a mighty purr! I'm so very sorry for your loss, and I'm glad you have his resounding purr captured on video to remember him.

He looks a lot like our new household member, Lulu (full name, Justice Lulu Bader Ginsburg). She will hear your case in her own time and render judgement as she sees fit). They both have that little white mustache and chin.

What is the best way to get a pair of young kittens?

I went to a website and starting filling out a form but it started asking for references and prying into my personal life which I wasn’t comfortable with. Like, make sure I know what I’m doing and won’t abuse it, but don’t pry into private personal information.

We got Lulu at the county Humane Society. After trying for months to get a dog from a rescue group I finally gave up--we filled out all kinds of forms asking everything from our personal habits to whether we'd be willing to cook dinner for our dog every night (I'm not kidding). It felt so weird and intrusive and then people were just really off-putting and, to be honest, kind of rude with us--so we got a young kitty from the Humane Society instead. They were overjoyed that we took her and were like, hey--want another one while you're here?? And she's a wonderful little beast. I'd definitely go through a humane society or shelter rather than an independent rescue. I'm sure you could get a pair of kittens with relative ease.
