Thanks. He was an absolute goofball too. Very talkative and grousy. Not always loud, but a complainer and a loud purrer. He was a great "little brother" to Maya. He started chasing her 2 hours after I brought him home as a kitten and didn't stop for 13 years. Then he got the last 3 years worth of all the attention. I'm really gonna miss him.
So very sorry for your loss. Cats are such wonderful members of our family. Losing someone who was such a big part of your life is always really, really hard.

Only one cat I heard was louder. A friend's massive Russian Blue actually had asthma and purred with his mouth open. Sounded like snoring.
I decided several years ago that these 2 would be my only cats, and it was hard not getting a "flea" for Gremlin the last 3 years. But he enjoyed getting all the attention after Maya was the alpha female for so long. I'm not sure I could finish what I start if I were to get another cat or cats what with health issues. I'd hate for cats to have to find new homes if they outlive me.
Mostly I'll miss these two I had.

On the bright side - you can do some cleaning. Wait a little while and then go rescue a couple little un's from a shelter!

Check into animal rescue groups in your area first. There are usually plenty of little pups and kittens needing homes. I don't know where you are so, I really can't point you in any particular direction...

Maya used to fight with me like that before I got Gremlin. Sometimes to the point of hanging off my arm like a sloth.
Then after I got him and he started irritating her regularly, whenever I'd try to get her to fight like that she would run away and go jump on Gremlin's head.
