Hello fellow Trekkies!
I have come close to completing the next version of my Federation Class Starship, and it is only because I am an attention whore, that I post this before it's timely completion. Possibly by next Thursday.
Here she is. I am still open to advice.
You can see the 3 faint forward sensors, windows (that have depth to them), the port docking ring (with visual orientation colours), and the general scale of the ship.
Some bridge detail.
Lower sensor dome, and transporter emitters (or whatever we will argue them to be until the end of time)
The lower hull.
The impulse engine. I tried to get some depth in there by painting the back red, and overlaying it with a "fence" that is semi-translucent. You can also see an emergency exhaust vent in the centre, and 2 little lights (kind of like was seen on the E-D in ST:G.
The shuttle deck door. I put some landing/take off lights down- I thought that would be a nice and practical visual element. And you can see the landing sensor dome.
And a parting shot as she heads off for some more work.
Any thoughts, my fellow Trek Junkies? I am always open to praise, but gladly except constructive critisism for the sake of learning. Just leave my spelling and grammar errors out of this!
I would love to get some decent lighting on this. Some texture. And, something in the background...
