February Art Challenge - Flux Capacitor

Here's my entry. Everything but the Enterprise is made 100% from scratch in Photoshop. The ship was "rendered" in Bridge Commander, and credit for the model goes to a poster called WileyCoyote.

Thanks! I just found a better process for making planets, and I've updated the image with a new, more realistic planet.

I have no idea why I'm thinking this, but I imagine the ship drifting off to one side and crashing into one of the icebergs. It just doesn't seem like it's going forward. Oh well.

hmmmm. No that's not it. I actually have no problem with nu Enterprise. It's kinda grown on me. I only think it looks stupid from one angle. And it's not really his one. I think the problem I'm seeing here is a compositional one.

The chunks of ice are really the only part I'm having a problem with. They look very clearly 2d in comparison with the rest of the shot, as if they were angled precisely towards the camera. The planet could use some depth to the atmosphere too, but it isn't as much of a distraction.
