FTWD is a show designed to be a mirror for the real world. On the nose social commentary. Liking Troy on the show is the same thing as liking a serial killer who murders brown people in the real world.
 Please tell me you're posting that with a straight face, it would make my day

Yeah but this isn't real life, this is entertainment. I don't watch a zombie show to get an analysis of current race relations.
Watching crookeddy argue with himself is entertaining.

It looks like TWD will be getting that time jump that happens in the comics. I don't read the comics but it seems kinda funny that TWD will pull a time jump after FTWD so recently. Comparisons will be the first thing to be made...I wonder if TWD will go the same route and tell a before and after story. I mean, it seems stupid to think that they would...but I won't put that past them.

Imagine... TWD returns with a before and after story telegraphs the death of its lead and (probably) the death of another important main character. Special CROSSOVER EVENT, as DANIEL arrives.

I use to be sick of all shows turning into TWD, including FTWD. Now I'm sick of shows turning into Westworld.

Well ibthink there are plenty of people who could do it...but Yvette Nicole Brown is by far the most qualified

She's too much of a manic fangirl. It was bad enough with the limp Hardwick kissing every ass on the set, but Brown would not be much of an improvement.

Well, there's no getting around the time jump gimmick. Its just a poor storytelling device to tease audiences about what might happen...only problem here is that the world knows Lincoln and Cohan have left TWD, so there's no real surprise. Unless cause of death is the angle the showrunners are playing.

Talking Dead may also be getting an unplanned reboot along with AfterTrek. Seems that Chris Hardwick is having some #MeToo troubles of his own. Shit never ends with these guys. Guess his wick was a little too hard! Nyak nyak nyak...
Yeah, I'm aware of Hardwick's troubles. Kind of why I expressed doubts about Talking Dead returning with the mid-season premiere of Fear.

I kind of wonder if they're going to kill off Rick and Maggie in the Whisperer's heads on pikes thing? Maybe along with Ezekiel, who was killed in this part of the comics. Since Ezekiel's death was the plot twist of this story in the comics, they'll likely want to do something different in the show, perhaps someone else dying in addition to Ezekiel, like they chose Abraham to get beaten to death by Negen along with Glenn. Rick or Maggie are the only other ones they could choose to be "shocking" and if they go with both, along with Ezekiel, it'll really sell the Whisperers as a threat, having them effectively and literally decapitate the heads of the three communities.

Considering how low cost the show must be (like a penny a viewer, if not way less)..I doubt they would end it..they have time to develop changes and promo.

If it is True that BOTH Cohan and Lincoln are leaving I very much doubt they will kill Ezekiel too. That would mean all 3 communities would lose their leader whereas the comics only had one.

I'm thinking along the same line; for the lead character to die, it has to "top" all other deaths--Glenn's beating, Hershel's beheading, Dale being disemboweled, etc.--to be a giant anvil dropped on the "old" series, and start the new end of it. It has to be something that forces Daryl into a leadership position he's never embraced before, and perhaps that means others--from Carol to Eugene--will also become stronger, more hands-on leader types. Then again, some rumors have Rosita being one of the head-on-the-pike victims, along with Ezekiel, so who knows how that will all play out?

^^
They did kill Rosita at this point in the comics, but I'm kind of hoping they keep her in the show. She is a more capable and interesting character than she was in the comics, and it could be interesting to see what they do with her in a setting with potentially Rick and Maggie out of the picture.

So....no one is excited, or even aware that Fear just returned??

My wife found the return boring.... and I guess it makes sense to catch up where everyone is...but yeah...OK the old people are depressed that they lost 2, while John is still recovering.

Now, does anyone believe for a moment that the season will end with Morgan heading back to Walking Dead? Hmm...seems unlikely, unless Fear has tanked so bad that they feel like they are gonna have to cancel it. This kinda reminds me of season 4 of Enterprise -- it FINALLY started getting good, but the changes were too late.

Also read about some new characters joining...when will we see them???
