Favourite Trek Uniform

Newton

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
What is everyone's favourite Trek uniform?

My favourite is the one they used in the TNG films, with the blue-grey colour on the shoulders, and the appropriately coloured turtle neck and lower sleeve bands. The earlier TNG and DS9 uniforms were a bit too colourful for my taste.

An honourable mention must go out to the TOS movie uniforms, from ST:II onwards. They allowed you to unpin the shoulder strap for added dramatic effect. :)

Oh I like the TOS but I'm biased. However I did like the dress uniforms with the white from last tng film. Also like the modern twist on the classic uniforms in new film.

Oh, I should probably mention that I think the original TNG uniforms were the absolute worst. You know, the spandex ones without collars. *shudder*

The original TOS uniforms used in "The Cage" and "Where No Man Has Gone Before" with the more muted colors and simplified rank system.

I've just made the TNG skant (in my avatar) which although horrendous at the time, I now strangely like in a retro kind of way!
I like the original uniforms though, It must be cheerful to work amongst those colours everyday. I don't think there are many I strongly dislike but I was disappointed by the colour shoulder on black on DS9 and Voy, I didn't think it was very imaginative.

 I forgot all about the skant! Maybe I just blocked it out of my consciousness.

I have two favorites: the Enterprise uniform because it looks so much like current space uniforms. The TNG dress uniform, for daring to be literally a dress.

Enterprise wins this one hands-down.

The jumpsuit uni they used in this series is by far the most realistic/practical uniform ever used in Trek on a regular basis. And they actually looked good, too.

I always thought they looked like the wearer should be carrying a tray and offering drinks to the customers!

I don't really have a uniform preference, and I always thought the jumpsuit style ones would be a nuisance to wear

I know that I am in the minority, but I have always liked the uniforms in TMP. I also like the white dress uniforms from the TNG movies and the later seasons of DS9.

Classic movies from WOK, SFS, TVH, TFF, TUC and also in GENERATIONS worn by the crew of the 1701-B with Kirk, Scotty & Chekov.

All the uniforms in Star Trek (2009) were great, except for the one-size-fits-all Kobayashi Maru romper suit.

Followed by Enterprise.

Those 3/4 trousers on the original TOS costumes were an awful idea.

I have a few: Kirk's wrap-around, the TWOK jackets, the First Contact + black suits. Runner up: early season 3 TNG suits.

'The Cage' female outfit, TOS standard and dress uniforms (but I am not a fan of miniskirts as uniforms), and mirror Odo's 'space nazi' black and grey uniform.
