Favourite Transporter Effect

The "Spatial Trajector" from Voyager's Prime Factors is pretty cool. Also, the technology itself is pretty cool.

I also am a fan of the Borg transporter effects.

^ No, there's not, and cut the snarky attitude. When two people tell you independently that there's something wrong with your videos, there's likely something wrong with your videos.

Two people have also said there is nothing wrong with the videos.

To double-up, I've tried it on two different computers, both worked flawlessly.

The videos play in Adobe Flash. Try updating your version of Shockwave Flash to the newest version. Alternatively, each video has a link below it to download in Mp4 format, which should play in most up-to-date video players. However, you shouldn't be able to even play the videos at all if you didn't have the proper media player already installed. Is the problem ONLY when they're beaming away, and the rest of the clip looks fine?

It just might be my computer, but every single one of those videos had static every time someone beamed away.

I'm also considering the possibility that he was being facetious, because of course it looks like "static" when someone beams away. That's kinda what beaming away looks like. If so, clever ruse, old chap!

my favorite isn't even from Star Trek
it's the Asgard transporter from Stargate SG-1

I liked what they did with the TNG effect for "All Good Things." It's faster, "fuller," and the sound effect is harsher, which goes with the tech of the upgraded Enterprise.

Oh, I'm not that clever, I assure you. It's a genuine post -- every time someone beams away (no matter what kind of transporter effect), the screen gets pixelated and gray. So yes, it only happens during the actual beaming process.

But I have the latest Adobe Flash. I'm a bit of a visual media addict, so I make sure things like Adobe are up to date. Again, my computer is new and my Flash is current, so I can't figure out what the problem is on my end.

I've been here eight years, and I've never earned a warning for anything, and I'm not about to get one now for being baited by you into saying something inappropriate. However, as someone who has posted as much as you have, I would think you would know how to keep conversations cordial and avoid unnecessary antagonism.
