Favourite Standalone Episode?

"If Wishes Were Horses" is one I like that is really standalone. I like the whimsy of it and it's kinda more mystical/fantastical and just so innocent in a way. Odo grousing at the emu or imagining Quark in the holding cell is pretty fun.
Forgot about that part.

I think I have to put in a vote for 'Visionary' as a very underrated episode, in many regards.

Also, maybe 'Rejoined' in certain regards, and 'Paradise'.
I'd have to think of a few more, likely.

"In the Cards"

A somewhat odd choice, but to me it really encapsulates the inherent "good" of Star Trek, the hopeful future where even an enemy will kind of smile and basically say "that's cute, no worries" when faced with a positive situation.

It's my favorite Weyoun moment for sure. It adds such a depth to the character. There is truly nothing personal in anything that happens before or after. Weyoun doesn't dislike Sisko or humans. Weyoun has a job to do it, and he's going to do it to the best of his ability. But... Sisko's kid wants to give his dad a baseball card because it will make him happy? Sure kid, take the card. Have fun.

Well, of course 'standalone' is very subjective. I'd say In the Pale Moonlight in the sense that I could probably enjoy it even 10 years after having watched DS9, without having seen any DS9 in the time between. But then again, of course you still need a general knowledge of events in DS9, so perhaps that episode doesn't quite qualify.
